Suzuki Australia has released advance details of its exciting new 2006-model DR-Z400SM supermotard due to arrive in Australia later this year.

Using the incredibly popular DR-Z400E as the foundation, Suzuki's new supermotard machine has been engineered for extreme performance and versatility.

The power-packed Suzuki DR-Z400SM employs a 398cc, four-stroke, single cylinder, DOHC, liquid cooled engine to offer plenty of torque right across the powerband.

Combining the exceptionally compact powerplant with a slim, lightweight chassis design, the new street-legal DR-Z400SM machine offers the perfect balance for handling on and off road.

Incorporating an inverted front fork derived from Suzuki's World Supercross GP Championship winning RM250, the Suzuki's fully adjustable suspension is tailored for superior off-road handling and smooth street performance.

Sporting an aggressive black livery and shod with wide, 17-inch, high-grip radial tyres, black aluminium rims and large diameter disc brakes, the

DR-Z400SM offers cool street cred and exhilarating performance.

Featuring a two-year unlimited kilometre warranty, the 2006 Suzuki DR-Z400SM is due to arrive in Australia in September with a suggested retail price to be announced closer to its release.
